Nice fish and chips restaurant. The two ladies who served us were nice, especially the lady who took our orders. They also give you proper heinz ketchup. The haddock was nice, the batter was light, crispy and tasty. We totally enjoyed our meal. I had the regular fish and chips with mushy peas, and a slice of bread/butter, which was more than enough for me.
Delicious freshly cooked haddock and chips, with a side order of mushy peas and curry sauce washed down with a pot of tea. Lovely, friendly staff and had a nice chat with the owner. Recommended
One of the best fish and chips we have ever had. Great prices and lovely old school atmosphere. The lady serving was also really lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would love to come back here again and would really recommend.
Stopped in tonight on a journey back from Scarborough. Service was excellent and the food was exceptional. Will struggle to find better fish and chips anywhere, excellent value and fast too. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.
We found Olivers fish and chip restaurant looking on Google search. We went out for an evening meal I really enjoyed it I had spam fritters an old fashioned meal to some my wife had fish and chips We also had tea for two just lovely the lady behind the counter was hard working keeping everything going I must say she was really nice anyway I recommend them if you're in the area if you want a restaurant with good food and good evening out Ho my chip butty on the side mmmmm
One of the best take-away fish and chips I've ever had apart from some seaside towns.
Visited many a time as also have gluten free option on certain days. Being just before Halloween, they had Also decorated accordingly.
Went for tea here this evening after a walk round nearby Valley Gardens. This is a proper old school traditional fish & chips restaurant. The lady serving us was absolutely lovely and the food amazing. My son had a chicken& mushroom pie, my mum scampi and I had spam fritters and we all really enjoyed our meals. The chips were perfect and the batter on my spam fritters was gorgeous, so crispy and light. We didn't have time to stay longer or we'd have had pudding but we will definitely be back to try out the crumbles. Definitely a 5*. Thanks for a lovely meal.
